Bennett Realty & Development (BR&D) has announced that Howard Levy and Benjamin Halpern have joined the New Jersey based firm. Howard has taken on the role as Managing director with a focus on the creation and execution of the Company’s Shopping Center Sales Platform. Ben has joined as Associate and will be working closely with Howard while also focusing on Single Tenant Net Leased assets.
Howard previously worked in the Philadelphia office of Marcus & Millichap for four years where he closed 20 transactions with a cumulative purchase price in excess of $150,000,000. Prior to joining Marcus, he was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Philadelphia based EBL & S, Inc., a fully integrated real estate development and management company where he was responsible for the strategy and implementation of the leasing and property management groups, the development and construction division as well as land use and entitlement efforts. As Chief Operating Officer, he was a key decision maker on all property related matters and served in that role for 23 years. He currently holds his CPA license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is an active participant in the ICSC serving on many panels and participating in its annual conferences.

Ben Halpern is a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where he dual majored in Finance and Real Estate. He advises and assists private investors in all aspects of single & multi-tenant investment transactions across various tenant types but has carved out a niche in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The pair worked closely together as members of the National Retail Group and Net Leased Properties Group while at Marcus & Millichap.

Both men reside in Pennsylvania. Howard spends his off time with his wife at the south Jersey shore and the many fine restaurants in Philadelphia and its suburbs. Ben Spends his free time playing chess, golfing, fishing and spending quality time with his friends and family.
